I think this is Hollywood making up what they think a cool young hip biker would look like and nothing more. I wouldnt read too much in to it.

Or maybe he is part of the new wave of hip hop harley riding bikers who are here to take over and push out the rest!!

Jax isn't a fashion mistake -- straight up, people who ride in their early 20s to early 30s are dressing like that more and more -- they call them Nike Bikies -- and I think his getup is more reflective of his generation and not something manufactured by the show.

That being said -- I like his getups. The old school guys on the show don't dress like that, but Jax is somebody who grew up in NorCal probably listening just as much to Dre as to Nirvana.

Kurt Sutter has a number of real 1% MC members as advisors.
In addition, Charlie himself has done a lot of research into this. The whole White Boy Wigger thing is very true on the coast.

Immense amounts of detail exist everywhere in this production.

And on every forum, there's always a newbie asking about Jax's white sneakers and baggy pants!!!

As for the white sneakers all you need to know is the show is set in California. Nuff said.

2 questions:
#1 - What does this have to do with forum feedback? Errm, nothing, not a thing.
#2 - Who cares whether he's wearing sneakers, lady's high heels, shitkickers, cowboy boots, or something else? Really, that's all you got?

Jax is wearing sneakers because he's Jax, it's what he's comfortable in. The only "uniform" they should have is the cut, which they've obviously all got on. Other than that, they could (seriously) be wearing almost anything they want, though I really doubt he'd have the balls to go around in the cut, high heels, a thong, and a mid-cut t-shirt (God now THAT'S a scary image for us guys).
