Anyone know the meaning behind the "Men of Mayhem" patch Jax wears ?

I get the "First 9" patch, Redwood Original, SAMCRO etc, but not the relevance of the "Men of Mayhem"

Any thoughts ?

It's basically just a "nick name" for the club. Sometimes Jax wears a hat that says "Reaper Crew" too. Just other names for Samcro. Or Top Rocker below me could be right, lol. Idk.

I thought those smaller patches show groups within the club. The original founders like Clay and Piney are "First 9". Younger guys like Jax Opie and Juice are "Men of Mayhem". then there are the middle aged ones like Bobby and Tig. I know Tig only wears his Sgt. At Arms rank patch. I forget what Bobby and Chibs have for small patches.

Just a quick edit/update: after rewatching a few episodes i noticed Chibs small left patch just says sons of anarchy, no rank patch. Still not sure about Bobby. he's been wearing shackles and coveralls for the last few episodes.

also Juice does'nt have any patches on the left. lately i have been wondering if he is really new to the club. like he just finished up his time as a prospect. He seems to get bossed around alot ("not used to positive reinforcement"). Plus he is always saying stuff like "take him out? you mean like kill him?".

I think Opie and Jax are the only ones with "Men of Mayhem"

Thanks for the replies. My wife's theory is it's the show equivalent of the infamous "filthy few" patch though I'd have thought a few more Sons members would be wearing that particular patch........

FX needs to make that hat. I would sport one of them for sure..

I looked into getting some "Reaper Crew" hats done and it comes up to around $12.00-$13.00 a hat if I order 20. Not bad.

I would get 2 but do we know 18 or so other people? lol
