Katey Sagal, who was happily holding a Golden Globe trophy for best actress/drama, for FX's Sons of Anarchy, said backstage that she was proud of the win: "There isn't a lot written about the motorcycle culture."
To create her character she used "a bit of political figures, a little bit of royal family and a little bit of I don't want to say."
She admitted it was a far cry from Married ... With Children, reports USA TODAY's Claudia Puig.
"I was in comedy for so long -- which I love -- but I wanted to branch out and do something different."
* Who else won a Golden Globe?
The award is an honor for Kurt Sutter, her husband and the show's creator. "I'll give this to him but I'll probably hold it."
How is it to work with her husband? "It's more good than anything else. Overall, it's great."
