Tig is responsible for not checking his target. Simple as that. I don't think he really wanted to kill Opie. He had what we call the "Perfect Oppourtunity" to do it and pass 100% of the blame off on someone else. Opie saved his life, and well, when it comes to men, something like that is not taken lightly. However, that being said, I don't sympathise with him one bit. He shoulda checked. But, as in the show as in real life, coulda, shoulda, woulda. Everyone makes mistakes, some small enough you can get embarassed and laugh about and hope no one ever remembers, ever. Some are big enough to destroy entire lives. It was a "mistake", but when it's that big, it's no excuse.
Now. I had some thoughts about the Club, and the book. I think it really was JT's original plan for the club, 'cause Piney was also in on it. Personally, I would like to read that book. Now, as to whether or not Gemma and Clay killed JT... That's still speculation. It's possible, and likely, but only time will tell.
