A few thoughts --

1. Keep your minds open -- storylines such as Tig v. Opie may not even play out this season. Same with Zobelle. I don't think anybody's getting off the hook. So much to play out and I feel like a lot of people are jumping to conclusions.

2. Killing Hale ... great twist to open the season. Didn't see it coming. He was a great character for the show and I'll miss having him around. And now Unser's back in charge.

And my only beef with the premiere:

3. Jax. Why would you brain a guy in front of the cops? And why would you not be constantly working to find your son?

I'm not against killing the guy from the drive-by, but why not torture him and get info first? And how would you not be constantly hunting for Cameron or any ties to him? Doesn't make sense. Don't like it. Understood Gemma giving that guy a knife to the dick (she did get gang-raped) but can't understand any of Jax's actions.

before i forget, in the preview it shows gemma hitting a women in white top tied to a chair. i just bought the episode on i tunes and noticed that her fathers housekeeper had the same top as the women so im guessing she called the cops after gemma came. but she has tig with her so she'll be fine. speaking of tig i hope we learn what his beef with the tacoma guy is. when jax says that their SUPOSED to go back to jail, something tells me none of them are going back.
Jax-find cameron and beat his ass and get your kid
Chibs-find Jimmy O and give him a joker why so serious scared smile
Clay- what did he say "shove a gun up stalhs bony ass and blow her black heart out"
Tig and Opie- kick everyones ass
Chuck- figure out how to jack off again
SOA-kill stalh, alverez and zobelle

Great point on them going back to Jail -- not happening. My guess is that is where they jump to Ireland to get Abel. Which will be sick.

i looked and looked for the show on the 7th but it was not on my satelite guide i have been looking every night just in case it got changed to another day where i am but still have not seen it
i am in Manitoba Canada any one know what channel it is on

In the states the episode aired on Tuesday the 7th. Could you possibly have had the wrong day or does it air on a different day than the states?

Great opening episode!

I was surprised with Hales departure but things like that keep the show fresh. Im also confused by Jax's actions but i guess its only the first episode and he should come around (eventually).

Whoever did the drive-buy needs to be paid back, im assuming that young kid that got shot is dead which is something the sons or most of the other clubs or gangs in the show so far wouldnt tolerate.

there is a new name in the opening credits, is that the actor who plays the son from Tacoma and is he becoming a permanent character this season?

Really enjoyed the episode. Think it was so funny that someone brought up the botox.... I was thinking the same thing. Shocked about Hale, but still wondering if he will pull through. LOVE this show!

Hale is dead, y'all. Kenneth Johnson is a former cast member on The Shield -- played Lemonhead. Sutter was EP and writer for some of Shield's best stuff.

I think the gang who did the drive by were the mayans. if you go on hulu.com and type in sons of anarchy in the search bar theres a behind the scenes clip labeled mayans where the cast talks about how the mayans problem carries on into this season. it shows the drive by in this episode and it also shows the sons chasing alverez through his house then on the floor and he says "you can't kill me, im a patched president" and clay says "i dont acknowledge your bullshit club" and kicks him in the face. im also thinking that mexican burried up to his chin is him also

the season started out just the way it should. Jax in a pit of self pitty and the club looking for revenge.

the beating jax gave the shooter was totally on point and you could tell the cops were happy to let him do it.. I was pretty damn pumped up when he did it too. I had to rewind it and then go thrash on everyone watching the show with me.. it was a great time had by all.

Wow, Hail got freakin roached. And that's to bad too because i think he could have brought more to the show dead than alive.
