Not sure where to start. I am thrilled SAMCRO Finally made it to Belfast. To me it has felt like months since Abel has been kidnapped. After several delays, and turning points we are finally a little bit closer to a possible reunion. I have been reading a lot of reviews lately to see if the way I am taking things in is similar to other die-hard fans. I have been watching since Season 1 Episode 1 and I have to say, Season 3 is just not doing it for me.
I remember the feeling of addiction after the 3rd episode of Season 1. I could not WAIT until the next weeks episode and that feeling went on until Season 3 Episode 1. All downhill from there... This storyline leaves me apathetic. I feel there is too much going on while all the while too much unresolved.
Right now the show is becoming more of a soap opera than a drama about a bad ass biker gang. It's unrealistic approach on taking down a police squad, Tara & the administrator now 'best of friends', and Tig leaving a measly prospect in charge of an impending doom -seems all too flaky to me. A perfect example is the 'hurry up and wait' theme Lochan Mor presented. SAMCRO finally arrives in Belfast and shouldn't their first order of business be tracking down Abel? Instead we find them playing poker, fighting and other irrelevant activity's. All but tracking down Abel, who Jax misses so much.
Let's be honest, if someone told the lost soul that Jax has become, where his son was. Do we really think he would sit there and listen in the practically calm state of mind he was in? He just sat there and took it. He basically was blackmailed into killing Jimmy O and in return will be given his son. Since when would he allow or take something like this? And Gemma & Maureen's "Where's my Grandson", no wait "Let's have some tea" exchange was as uncharacteristic as Gemma Teller could be. Gemma Teller is all things but patient. This is all a waste of time in my viewing opinion.
I am sadly disappointed in Season 3. I was hoping after Gemma's Father storyline, things would look up. I was excited for the club to arrive in Belfast and for things to pick up. I will still watch because I do enjoy the show, as much as it is driving me mad! Although my excitement and addiction is definitely gone...
