Episode 8: Lochan Mor

When Samcro pays a visit to another charter, not everyone’s happy to see the mother chapter.
I don't know ... who Clay's hitting, except for you. I'm sure he's hitting you, cause you're his wife and all.

i think that this is gonna be the turning point of the season. i think jax is gonna go from depressed father to a cold blooded killing machine to anyone who had anything to do with abels kidnapping. one thing is for sure hes gonna go ape shit on Liam and Clay's gonna go ape shit on McGee when he finds out that a founding first 9 member knew about his grandsons kidnaping and lied to him about it. in the last episode gemma said that jax didnt know about john teller and belfast and the irish chick (i still cant remember her name) said that trinny didnt know either so i think that we will learn about johns secrets and posibly dark past in tonites episode
How bout you steal a fire truck, O and we can have our own little uniforms and hats?

Not sure where to start. I am thrilled SAMCRO Finally made it to Belfast. To me it has felt like months since Abel has been kidnapped. After several delays, and turning points we are finally a little bit closer to a possible reunion. I have been reading a lot of reviews lately to see if the way I am taking things in is similar to other die-hard fans. I have been watching since Season 1 Episode 1 and I have to say, Season 3 is just not doing it for me.

I remember the feeling of addiction after the 3rd episode of Season 1. I could not WAIT until the next weeks episode and that feeling went on until Season 3 Episode 1. All downhill from there... This storyline leaves me apathetic. I feel there is too much going on while all the while too much unresolved.

Right now the show is becoming more of a soap opera than a drama about a bad ass biker gang. It's unrealistic approach on taking down a police squad, Tara & the administrator now 'best of friends', and Tig leaving a measly prospect in charge of an impending doom -seems all too flaky to me. A perfect example is the 'hurry up and wait' theme Lochan Mor presented. SAMCRO finally arrives in Belfast and shouldn't their first order of business be tracking down Abel? Instead we find them playing poker, fighting and other irrelevant activity's. All but tracking down Abel, who Jax misses so much.

Let's be honest, if someone told the lost soul that Jax has become, where his son was. Do we really think he would sit there and listen in the practically calm state of mind he was in? He just sat there and took it. He basically was blackmailed into killing Jimmy O and in return will be given his son. Since when would he allow or take something like this? And Gemma & Maureen's "Where's my Grandson", no wait "Let's have some tea" exchange was as uncharacteristic as Gemma Teller could be. Gemma Teller is all things but patient. This is all a waste of time in my viewing opinion.

I am sadly disappointed in Season 3. I was hoping after Gemma's Father storyline, things would look up. I was excited for the club to arrive in Belfast and for things to pick up. I will still watch because I do enjoy the show, as much as it is driving me mad! Although my excitement and addiction is definitely gone... :(

Someone better tell Jax or his half sister that they're related before they end up in bed.

Tig not being able to ride means he can't be SAA.

Tig screwed up big time. An untested prospect is never left alone with an important task like guarding someone. The way the prospect acted when Tig gave him the gun should have been a give away that the kid does not have the stones to take care of business. A full patch should have been there to oversee things. One prospect down and two to go.

Does anyone think Tara is going to go through with the abortion?

I liked this episode. I watched again lastnight. I just dont know where to start and what to tackle first. BigJim, I agree with you. I saw that coming when they left him there after they got done fighting. That was a really bad move on Tigs part. He should have had some one else stay. Dude totally messed up I mean they still have some full members that stayed back from the trip and due to his stupidness the old man got hurt. Hale needs to get out of Charming and forget what he started. Hale just should have stayed away. I can understand him coming back and being there to clean up his brother office and what nots but that should have been it. Unser needs to tell him to hit the road or Darby needs to fess up to some one or pass a message like he did in the other episode about what was going on. I was glad he gave the money back and did no harm. I dont think Tara should go along with the abortion and I dont think she will to be honest, Gemma would be so upset. I think she should take Gemmas advice and wait til they get Abel back and go from there. She should shove her being pregnant in Jaxs face and forget about him, I think he really messed up when he went and tagged Ima. I feel bad for Lyla and what she told Tara at the clinic. Living in a house with Donnas ghost. It must be hard for her, if Opie was to find out how to you think he would feel about her choice? Some one needs to tell Jaxs about Trinity being his sister, I dont want to see some freaky stuff going on between them. Maureen and Gemma need to sit them down and come clean about that is going on under the surface. My thoughts still sit the same with Mcgee and Oneil and Jimmy plus the IRA shot them and get back to Charming. Father Ashby made it pretty clear and he needs to take the message and pass it along and get everything taken care of. Kill IRA and people who are doing wrong and get the baby and get back to Charming!

Not a solid outing for SOA - wtf are they not there to find Abel? Why all the fucking around boxing, drinking and other shit? And why would Jax not have gone right after his son when he found out from the priest where he was? This season is at a CRUCIAL turning point. Time for some redemption. I did like the Luke-Leia aspect with Jax and his sis, though. Sutter's a sick puppy.

There are only five more episodes left in this season and I also gotta say WTF. If my baby has been kidnapped I would sure as hell be doing a little more than playing games, getting laid, drinking, etc. I would be choking the chit outta some people for answers and I can't believe they are not having Gemma going nuts, too. And now we see a happy couple about to walk out the door with poor baby Abel yet again. He is gonna forget what his family looks like real soon! I am so disappointed this has taken this long to resolve because the Sons have not taken any real action yet! What are they waiting for. Yea somebody better clue Jax and Trinni that they are forbidden fruit to each other before they hit the sack. And it will be interesting to see by the end of the season how many of the Belfast chapter get clipped. I don't think they are all involved in the betrayal. Maybe just O'Neil and McGee. As far as Tara and Lyla at the clinic, again WTF where is the birth control. I do think they will have Tara go through with the abortion or if not have a miscarriage because what are they going to do with another baby to deal with in this series. They don't do alot with the one they have on the series now. I did enjoy seeing Chibbs and his nephew (at least I think it was his nephew) together and also Chibbs with Fiona and his daughter. Meanwhile back in Charming I am not enjoying the new prospect storyline either. Will have to wait to see if gets any better. Anyway all in all I thought episode seven was so good that episode eight was really gonna deliver, but in my opinion it really fell flat. Hope it picks up this coming Tuesday. And I do agree that this season could be a turning point for SOA.

I have to agree with the last few comments. After the week I've had I'm not in the mood for a soup opera. I'm looking for a hard hitting, arse kicking, question finding episode that leave us black and blue.
Why in the hell are you doin' this?
