Sutter said his plans call for 7 seasons of SOA. The battle between Clay and Jax is the core story line of the show. Does anyone think Sutter would kill off Clay only half way through the series? I think we will see Clay for at least two more seasons before he finally meets his demise.

I think you are right. I don't think Clay will be killed any time soon. I think it is just everyone thinking out loud. Clay still has alot of damage to do.

I can see them making an attack on clay but it being non successful and then clay goes rogue.

Sometimes I hate that I know that, it kinda kills a little of the suspense because I think to myself, "We still have 3 seasons left, Clay can't be killed yet!" As much as we love to hate Clay, I can't imagine the next 3 seasons without him. But I guess that is what makes this show soooooooo great, you can't stop thinking about it for days afterward
