[quote="Aggie"] I also enjoy the tension with Tara, and appreciate that it didn't end in the catfight I thought I saw coming. ...

-I'm disappointed that Hale sold out. Now, I'm not griping about being disappointed in *Hale*, I'm disappointed in the writing. I think Hale's a much better character when he's sympathetic--plus, I wasn't "sold" that he was bought (no pun intended). It didn't look like this bothered anybody else--Am I the only one?-[quote]

Yes... I thought we were going to see Tara knock someone into next week.. but it turned out ok...

I am also not convinced Hale has sold out....

Tell me more! I was listening to the Watchers of Anarchy podcast, and they threw out the theory that Hale knew what was going on, and by disappointing the SOA, Hale knew the SOA would take care of the problem (those are my words, not theirs--anyone else pls correct me if I'm mis-representing them). I feel like that theory is a little convoluted, but I think this show can pull it off and I'll still believe it. I love Hale as an antogonist that the audience can respect; I think it makes the show much more interesting that way. I choose to ignore the scene where he's getting it on with the ATF agent--not that I don't think he'd do it, just that I don't believe he'd do it in the station.

Very simply put.
Did he do his job and act on the information? yes
Did he give away the fact that they were investigating that house? Yes
Did he lie about getting tipped off? Yes

Hale has sold out. By accepting payment (the envelope of coupons), he effectively sold out to the Aryans.

Yeah, I'm also sort of in the camp that even if Hale intentionally got the SOA to do his work, and never plans on being Zobel's pocket, it's still sort of a sell out. I like have Hale as a character on the show who's resolved that if the SOA are the means, he wants nothing to do with the end. Keep the theories coming though--even though I have my criticisms, this is about the only show I'll watch consistently every week. I love it!

Hale will be in SAMCRO's pocket by the end of the season, he made a mistake by getting in with the Aryans, and will realize it soon. He will choose the lesser of the two evils, and Jax and him are getting friendlier every episode.
