It had it's moments where it was decent, but overall, it really didn't do much to build up the current plot in the season. Sure, Gemma found out who's who and what's really going on, but that was pretty much it.
I STILL love the show, but this had to be the lamest episode I've seen this season. When it takes almost 15 minutes to actually get to a scene that matters, there's a problem.
I agree. I didn't really like this episode either. I feel like the thing with Tig was important, but it seemed so rushed and predictable. The Tig drama however, established a few things:
Made us all care about him and remember he's a brother (even though he's on our shit list)
helped the prospect earn his stripes
showed that when shit comes down, his brothers have his back
taught us more about his character (both with the bravery of pissing off the bounty hunters, and the livestock thing).
The tension between Clay and Jax came to an all time high tonight. We all know it's going to blow up, we just don't know when. And Clay threatening Jax just shows what a true douchebag he really is. He should not be the leader, and he is an evil person. I know that they are bikers and not choir boys, but Clay has nothing but his own self interests in mind. They might all be degenerates and criminals, but at least they have a bond, and a societal code. Clay does not follow that.
This episode went kind of slow for me, with spurts of action here and there to spice it up, but overall I wasn't really impressed with the episode. I think the next one will be better. They should have drug out the Tig drama for two episodes, make us really wonder what would happen.
And I learned I have to stop watching previews, because then I already know what's coming.
I don't know ... who Clay's hitting, except for you. I'm sure he's hitting you, cause you're his wife and all.
